Hi all,
I am looking for a GPS module or chip that is fairly reliable and sends its position to a server (maybe the manufacturer's) that I can then access via the internet. There seem to be a lot that just send the gps coordinates to another component of the circuit but I need to remotely access the information, perhaps from the other side of the city. I have also seen mobile phones attached to such a circuit to relay the coordinates upon a received SMS prompt, however, mine won't be used regularly so I don't want to be continually having my phone credit expire and remember to load it up again...
If someone can think of another idea for relaying remote gps coordinates back to me without using the mobile phone or relying on the manufacturer's server, please mention it.
Thanks.
