|
|
Using strip board (where each column is one long track) I want to mount 4x 3v LED's in series to connect to a 12v supply as in the diagram below. (Obviously, there will have to be a link from the +ve & -ve power tracks to the start LED and end LED.)
= is track
O is hole in track
===O=== (12Vdc +ve)
===O=== (LED1+)
===O=== (LED1-)
===O=== (LED2+)
===O=== (LED2-)
===O=== (LED3+)
===O=== (LED3-)
===O=== (LED4+)
===O=== (LED4-)
===O=== (12Vdc -ve)
Now, if I create another column (or more) of 4x 3v LED's, do I need to cut the tracks in between or is it not necessary?
===O===O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O= =O===
===O===O===
I hope you can understand my drawings and thanks for looking. _________________ Regards,

I can answer my own query now.
No, I didn't need to cut the tracks. Just link the rows of 4 in series and the 3 columns in parallel. _________________ Regards,
