INSTALLATION
Clean and dry the metal surface, program and test one tag, then peel and press firmly into place. Read performance varies by phone, reader and mounting location.
HOW TO SCAN CORRECTLY — PLEASE READ BEFORE TESTING
NTAG424 DNA tags use a secure, multi-step read. Your phone must stay over the tag for the ENTIRE scan. If you tap and pull away too early, the read is interrupted and can return an incomplete result that falsely shows the tag as "non-genuine" or failed. This is a scanning error, not a defective or counterfeit tag.
To get a full, correct reading:
1. Open your NFC app and start the scan.
2. Place the phone's NFC reading area (near the top on iPhone, usually center-back on Android) directly over the tag or card.
3. Hold the phone completely still over the tag. Do NOT scan and pull away.
4. You will hear one beep, then a second beep. Keep holding after the first beep, as the read is not finished yet.
5. Only pull the phone away after the 2nd beep completes. The full, correct reading will then be returned.
If you get a "non-genuine" or error result, rescan holding the phone steady until both beeps complete before opening a return.
