Offered for sale is a vintage Hewlett-Packard HP 5246L Electronic Counter equipped with an installed HP 5253B Frequency Converter, acquired from an engineer’s estate.

The HP 5253B plug-in converter is clearly marked for a frequency range of 50–500 MHz.

The main electronic counter features a large numerical display window, adjustable sample-rate control, AC and DC signal inputs, gate connection, time-base selector, reset control, function selector and related front-panel adjustments.

The HP 5253B frequency-converter section includes an analog meter, large calibrated tuning dial and front input connection marked for a maximum input of 2 volts RMS.

The rear identification label shows serial number U713-00329, Specification OP.02, and states Made in Great Britain. The rear panel is also marked Digital Recorder.

Included is the complete HP 5246L counter with its installed HP 5253B frequency converter, cabinet, display, front-panel controls, connectors and rack handles, exactly as photographed.

No signal cables, probes, adapters, external frequency standard, manuals or additional accessories are included.

The instrument is UNTESTED. No illuminated display or other proof of power is visible, and no power, frequency-counting, signal-input, time-base, converter, meter, calibration or functional testing was performed.
