The Miltenyi Biotec gentleMACS Octo Dissociator with Heaters is a benchtop instrument for the automated, standardized dissociation of tissues into single-cell suspensions and for homogenizing tissue to extract biomolecules (RNA, protein, nuclei). It processes up to 8 samples at the same time in gentleMACS C Tubes or M Tubes, each position running its own program independently. With heaters installed, it can run Miltenyi’s 37 °C enzymatic dissociation protocols (the “37C_” programs) hands-free. Common uses include tumor dissociation, immunology, single-cell RNA-seq sample prep and preparing cells for flow cytometry.

This unit has been fully tested and is working. It powers on, boots normally and responds correctly from the touchscreen menu. The software/firmware version screen is shown in the photos. The rear ID label and Miltenyi’s factory QC Pass label (manufactured May 2019) are also pictured.
