Date stamped on circuit board: JAN 29 1979Western Electric technical documentation identifies the LC10B as circuitry associated with the TOUCH-TONE calling register and receiver used in Western Electric Dimension PBX equipment. This is an original Bell System-era circuit pack and would make an interesting piece for a vintage telephone/PBX collection, Western Electric collection, restoration project, electronics display, or component/precious-metal collection.
This is a large circuit card measuring approximately 11½ inches long by 7¼ inches wide, excluding/depending upon the projecting handle hardware.
Vintage components / precious-metal content:
The board has numerous visibly gold-plated card-edge contacts along the connector edge. Unlike many later circuit boards, these contacts are distributed in several groups across the edge of the card.
The board also contains multiple vintage integrated circuits and discrete components. Of particular interest are the white Western Electric ceramic/hybrid-style IC packages with gold plated leads, along with several black leg DIP integrated circuits. Vintage IC packages of this period may contain precious-metal-bearing internal construction, including gold bonding wire and/or plated internal connections, depending upon the individual device. No representation is made as to the exact precious-metal content or recoverable quantity.
The board contains vintage Western Electric components including a white ceramic package marked 601A / WE / 78. The under side of these chips contain gold covering palladium alloy traces. Other visible components carry Western Electric markings/date codes from the late 1970s.Condition:
This card was obtained as part of a group of vintage Bell/Western Electric telecommunications equipment. It has not been electrically tested, and due to its age it is being sold AS-IS / UNTESTED, with no guarantee of functionality.Please examine all photographs carefully.
