- ITEM DESCRIPTION -

Up for sale is a vintage No. 6 heavy-duty size universal adjustable tilting tailstock (footstock) center component for an industrial machine shop rotary dividing head setup. This rugged toolroom attachment features a substantial side pivot axis to angle the alignment center point perfectly for heavy or tapered workpieces.

- SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES -

• Size Classification: Factory stamped "No. 6" inside a circular frame emblem with an accompanying "H" casting mark below.

• Casting/Part Number: Structural casting mold number 7683 on the internal arm.

• Finish: Retains portions of its original reddish-orange industrial factory paint safely preserved inside the lower casting recess.

• Components: Heavy sliding dead center housing, internal feed screw, rear adjusting crank handle, and massive side pivot locking nut assembly.

• Weight: Heavy solid steel and cast iron construction, approx 18-22 lbs packed.

- CONDITION -

• Solid, functional vintage condition with typical cosmetic surface patina, light rust flashes, and minor shop grease from age.

• Machined slide tracks are intact. Cast iron housing is structurally sound with no cracks, welds, or structural repairs.

• Internal lead screw turns smoothly to adjust the dead center alignment tip.
